The Patriot
Amazon has been producing some TV shows -- I hope Whit Stillman's show is still in the works. Although The Patriot thankfully doesn't seem to suffer from unrealistic diversity in casting, as an "offbeat" comedy disguised as a thriller (if that is what it really is) it doesn't seem to serve much purpose. Is this the sort of entertainment Uhmericans really need?
Amazon’s Patriot is a good example of how ‘peak TV’ inspires over-confidence in old ideas
Amazon’s ‘Patriot’ is the quirky political thriller America needs right now

AmConMag: Why Are Women in Combat? by Scott Beauchamp
The Pentagon cares less about equal rights and more about maintaining recruiting for endless wars.
I don't think his interpretation of the Pentagon's policy changes or Ash's statement is correct -- I think both can be seen in the light of SJW concerns, rather than worries about a shortage of manpower. No citation of recruitment statistics and the raising (or lowering) of standards in order to adjust demand to supply.

Mirror of Justice: Is the Catholic Church Anti-Woman? -- Great Debate
When the Latin churches have been mostly feminised and have adopted a version of feminist? Hardly, but there is no pleasing those who are even more extreme.

“This is our time of witness”: Abp Chaput on how American Catholics remain “strangers in a strange land” By Carl E. Olson
“It’s a time not for sadness but gratitude—and courage,” says the archbishop of Philadelphia in a discussion of his latest book on “Living the Catholic Faith in a Post-Christian World.”
Perhaps they are strangers in a strange land because they never fully assimilated and integrated with the natives...

A Lot of Star Power
But I can't relate to the characters at the moment... perhaps it would be good commentary about contemporary artists/musicians and their private lives.
