If Catholic parents believe their daughter has a vocation to marriage, should they be doing more to prepare her for it, instead of leaving her to follow the typical path of her non-believing peers? School may be necessary to get some sort of employment, but it should not be a substitute for a lack of direction (or lack of suitors). Parents need to start early if they are to become part of a network in which matches can be made. (And this requires that they be committed to living in one place and seeking out other faithful Catholics.)
