What the BBC Thinks an Assassination Attempt Looks Like
Just a nobody's thoughts: no taking out of the engine block? Shooting out the windows? (Apparently the sniper had a lot of ammunition to expend so why not try to get rid of the windows?) No shooters on hand to engage the car at close range? They should have asked a Mexican cartel for technical advice.

We think of corruption in its varied forms: the misappropriation of public resources, the exploitation of individuals, the denial of rights, the flouting of community rules, dishonest gain, the justification of power by force or the arbitrary appeal to raison d’état and the refusal to relinquish power. To which we can add xenophobia, racism, lack of concern for the natural environment, the plundering of natural resources for the sake of quick profit and contempt for those forced into exile.

Southern Music

But what if it is played by Yankee musicians? How is that conveyed to the audience.
Was thinking of how many musicians are "progressive" or supporters of the modern Democratic party. Is this tied to the heavy emotionalism of their music? How do musicians who play more "ordered" music (as delineated by traditionalists) compare regarding their political beliefs and party affiliations? Are Southern folk musicians free from sin and vice? (Womanizing and adultery, and so on?) Is the disorder reflective less of the music than with the lifestyle, which may seem irregular to an outsider?

I believe that the most significant difference between the South and the rest of the country is that in the South, although groups of people may not get along with each other and may clash and have their differences, frequently the people within the groups get along fine. They know each other, they work together, go to church together, and they’re neighbors. They have built relationships with each other, and they see eye-to-eye on a lot of face-to-face issues, and they are rightfully happy with that arrangement. However, outside the South, that situation is exactly reversed. Although groups of people may be technically cooperative, the individuals within the groups don’t have anything to do with each other. I like our way better.
