Non Possumus by Romanus Cessario, O.P.
MOJ: The Mortara Case, Pio Nono, Statism, Parents, etc.
Dreher has been writing a lot about this incident lately, but at this point I am not interested in examining it, though there are a lot of interesting issues at stake: religious freedom, the rights of Pharisees in Christian societies, the rights/powers of a Christian government, the intersection between the political community and Church...

12 Rules of Life
It may not be perfect but it may be the start of the red pill for many normies. I'll have to get a copy of the book.

Clueless about Sex Differences
The content of the message itself, how the "current culture" is toxic in its portrayal of masculinity, is a mix of good and bad. But the fact that a woman is saying this and apologizing, I find patronizing and ineffective for men who have taken any amount of the red pill. This sort of messaging could easily be put to use of the Feminine Imperative, without any changes to the message itself.

Remembering St. John Paul II’s controversial 1987 pilgrimage to Chile by Filip Mazurczak
Now is an appropriate time to recall that historic visit and the role that John Paul II and the Chilean bishops played in Chile’s peaceful transition to democracy, as well as clarify some misconceptions about that pilgrimage.

A comment:
“According to George Weigel’s authoritative biography of John Paul II, Witness to Hope, during this meeting Pinochet asked John Paul II: “Why is the Church always talking about democracy? One method of government is as good as another.” John Paul’s response was: “No. The people have a right to their liberties, even if they make mistakes in exercising them.”
1. The people have a right to their political liberties, if they are qualified to hold them. 2. This does not mean that a liberal democracy at the scale of the nation-state is necessarily the best or only means of satisfying (1). [my edit]
And this is the problem with popes voicing opinions about political issues, because there is no guarantee that their moral theology concerning political order and community, and the judgments issuing from it, is correct, as none of this falls within the Deposit of Faith as such.
