It's just a TV show...
Song Hye Gyo's character, a symbol of Korean brand of feminism, or least the Korean entertainment industry's version of it? (Would they dare write a drama about her character being interested in an enlisted man or conscript? The relationship between the male sergeant and the female lieutenant may seem to go against hypergamy, but that happens in real life as well -- higher rank isn't the sole determinant of sexual attraction, or the only marker of socialsexual status.)
The "normal" trajectory of the mass population centers of industrialized societies or catalyzed by a small elite with its own agenda?
