This seems more blue pill than not, even if the problematic paragraphs could be interpreted in a way that explains patriarchy rather than overthrowing it. For example, joint decision-making does not mean that the wife has a role equal to that of the husband; rather she aids in his deliberation by providing information that he may have missed or be ignorant of.
