Interview with Christopher Ryan

author of Sex at Dawn

Making excuses for a hedonistic lifestyle, when one doesn't have to live with the consequences of "unwanted" pregnancy and the like?

Thanks for posting this. A lot to learn from this interview amidst all the crap. Amazing how certain uncovering truths about our animal nature can lead smart people so far astray!

Interesting when the left-libertarian interviewer starts fearing that property rights and promiscuity don't mix, that the latter is only possible in the collectivist societies described by Ryan. Ryan's answer is that modern technology (birth control) makes the two compatible.

Hardly comforting for anyone looking for a consistent ethic. Feminists make the same argument, that without birth control and abortion, women are lesser than men.
