ANTHONY ANDREWS - JUDE LAW 'TOO GOOD' FOR BRIDESHEAD REVISITED

But Andrews is furious at the news Davies plans to ignore the religious element to the story, and make it "darker, more heterosexual".

He complains, "I've heard that Andrew Davies has entirely cut out the religious element which is ridiculous.

"I just can't see how the film would work without it."

This is from 2003; the cast is quite different from what was originally speculated.

While there is a shot of the chapel and of a rosary in the trailer, does the adaptation retain the religious core of the story? What does Andrew Davies think of religion? Perhaps it does not matter too much, since AD was replaced by Jeremy Brock.
