Orion Magazine: America the Possible: A Manifesto, Part I by James Gustave Speth

A misdiagnosis of the problem... He doesn't get everything wrong, but he does have a nationalistic conception of the union, and he is ignorant of all of the moral/spiritual problems. Would he support the use of the Federal Government to stamp out tradition in the name of progressive liberalism and equality? I don't doubt it.
Where do Uhmericans who share his perspective live? Is it more likely that they live in a megapolis rather than in "fly-over" country? Those who want to conserve a traditional community must gather together now and work for this.
