Where Do We Go Now

Tiff
Rotten Tomatoes

Somehow the enlightened women are able to stay above the fray. "Because we are mothers"? And yet women with children can be more tribal than any man, even turning on those within their own community if they deem it necessary. But in this story they form an alliance because they wish to secure the future safety (and happiness) of their children, while the men squabble (over something minor?). If only women were in charge - then we'd have peace. Isn't that the message, an endorsement of matriarchy against the foolishness of men (including those who have religious authority)? Who would have thought that feminism would be making inroads in Lebanon.
