Tokyo TV has moved from Channel 26 to 38. (38.4, to be exact) It doesn't air many J-dramas, though.

How can you receive that channel? (38.4) I hooked my newer Samsung to the coaxial cable coming out of my wall (assuming it is there for Comcast...I have Dish though). I can receive quite a few channels, some HD, but when I do a scan on my TV I can only get 38.1, nothing beyond that for the 38 sub channels.

My receive picked it up when scanning for channels - if you get 38.1 I would think that the signal strength is sufficient? Perhaps you could borrow someone's receiver and see if you can pick up the channel tnen? I don't know what else to suggest, other than getting a better antenna.

Can I ask what type of antenna you are using to receive 38.4? Is it an indoor or outdoor one? I live in San Jose so not sure what kind of range I need. Was at Frys today looking but thought I'd do a little research first before purchasing. Thanks

Just a standard indoor antenna with amplifier; I got mine at Circuit City a long time ago, I think it must have cost me $20 then.

I tried one of the cheapo RCA antennas from Best Buy, no good. Then I tried one of the pricier Terk HDTV antennas from Frys. It was worse than the cheap one! I'm thinking I may have to get and outdoor antenna.
