Moral Choices:The Moral Theology of St. Alphonsus Liguori
by Theodule Rey-Mermet, C.Ss.R.; Translated by Paul Laverdure
(I have no idea if this book is any good.)

I would like to read his work in moral theology, coming as it did during the time of casuistry, paying attention to his explanation of why certain actions are wrong.

Catholic Moral Teaching by Joseph Mausbach
"Law or Liberty" by Fr. Hugh Barbour. Fr. Barbour gives a brief summary of the three theories, probabiliorism, aequiprobablism, and probablism. The critique of casuistry by Fr. Pinckaers and Fr. Barbour is that the casuist mindset (that is so rule-focused) supplanted but could not replace the cultivation of the virtue of prudence.
