The More Superhero Story Producers Adhere to the SJW Agenda
The greater the reaction against them will be, to the point that no self-respecting male will want to be associated with their products. Which is worse in this regard, DC or Marvel?

Sebastian Junger Has a New Book Out
Tribe: On Homecoming and Belonging
Jack Donovan reviews it: Tribalism is Not Humanitarianism - STW Episode 17
If Donovan's characterization of the book is correct, then it certainly does fall short of the truth about tribes and community.
NPR story
Man, just missed him in Corte Madera.

New Trailer for Ben Hur
With the website's recent track record, it's surprising that one of the regular contributors is panning the movie based on the trailer.
I thought it was actually a bit better than the first trailer, even if the portrayal of Christ as a hippie with a message about love is poorly done, at least as it is reflected in the trailer.

CWR: Kimberly Hahn: Wife, Mother, Author—and Local Politician
"During the course of the campaign, we knocked on over 8,000 doors, out of a possible 9,500. I campaigned the night before the election well into the darkness."
By Jim Graves
Kimberly Hahn, a respected Catholic author and wife of theologian and well-known speaker and author Scott Hahn, has entered the world of local politics. Running as a Republican reformer in an old mill town long dominated by Democrats, she won a seat on the Steubenville, Ohi...
Comments: So if natural law points to patriarchy, what do we make of Scott Hahn's theology? Tainted by ignorance or bad cultural habits (the white-knighting in his commentary on Genesis and the sin of Adam is bad)? Or a greater defect?
Note too that this is probably implicitly sanctioned by Opus Dei as well if Hahn is still associated with the group.

CWR Blog: Is Patriotism a Virtue? by Jerry Salyer
The fact that so few public figures openly challenge the value of patriotism indicates not a genuine consensus in favor of patriotism, but only that few public figures have given much thought to what patriotism actually is.

Carly Fiorina at the Napa Institute
WHY? Plus Marjorie Dannenfelser. Fiorina is a feminist, pure and simple. Does Ms. Dannenfelser know the truth about how radical "first-wave" feminism really was? Seeking to advance female politicians is bad enough.
Latin Catholics need to get their heads straight.
