[The little opening below the button is a bit fey--it's something you usually see only with Chinese-inspired blouses for women. I don't know what he is thinking; I hope he didn't have a hand in its creation.]

If one were to were a guayabera during the day here in NoCal, what should one wear at night if the temperature became much cooler? Seems like a coat with lapels would not match--how about a coat or jacket with a mandarin collar? Or no collar at all? (The coat or jacket would have to extend below as far the shirt, or farther.) I don't think a vest would work, since its length is usually rather short. (Unless it is one of the fleece vests, but even those go down to just the waist, unless one deliberately buys a larger size. Besides, a fleece vest doesn't go with a shirt that is worn in warm or hot climates.)

Maybe a coat with lapels would be ok...
