The Mail: Lady Thatcher to be honoured with State funeral, but Palace fears there might not be enough troops to line streets of London

People probably 'feel' that Lady Thatcher, like Ronald Reagan, deserve nothing less than the best, especially since they "helped to bring down the Evil Empire." But perhaps the legacy of both leaders is not as great as some self-proclaimed conservatives might think it is. Though I was alive when both were leaders of their respective countries, I am too young to really give a good assessment of their leadership. But seniors I respect, the folks at Chronicles and Mr. Peter Hitchens, do make me wonder if it has not been exaggerated, especially when it comes to being a true "conservative". If the two countries are brought back from the brink of self-destruction, and sensible people are in positions of influence and history departments, will the assessment of these two leaders be different then?
