Losing Internet "Allies"
Unmasking Feminism has gone dark, after some protracted fighting between "anti-feminism" female bloggers and commentators. What's the real story? What internet persona is real? Maybe it's the nature of blogging (as opposed to paid writing) that it attracts certain kinds of people - especially if it becomes a popularity contest. (Paid writing, too, has its problems, and it is not free from narcissism.) We shouldn't generalize about women and an inability to check themselves, should we? Or how such drama results when order is not imposed by men?
There may be a few who can be moral teachers to others, but how much talking is necessary? (I think that point made by Matt Forney is valid.) Some learning or reacquiring of a traditional moral system is necessary but this book-learning (or internet-learning) is not enough - it must be practiced. Some men may enjoy being groupies of female "traditionalist" bloggers; others may be looking for a more acceptable "outlet" to spread their ideas, which they can encourage women to read without seeming "bigoted" or "limited." Well, this latest fracas seems to have taken out two anti-feminism blogs, which is unfortunate, especially since Unmasking Feminism had a treasure of historical material.
What sort of books does the androsphere need to produce? There seem to be enough guides for dating and the like. There are a few MRM looking at divorce, legal misandry, and so on. Dalrock should write a book on the decline of marriage and the reasons why, perhaps. Some ethical and political treatises that explicitly deal with questions of patriarchy? What else? Then blogs can become more like internet fora, though these would become less necessary if traditionalists would network with people in "real life."

"Androsphere" hasn't caught on yet... What is the Manosphere?
There is no reason why paleocons and tradcons can't be part of the discussion, instead of characterizing all of it as being the domain of PUAs and egalitarians. Their objections to libertinism noted, paleocons and tradcons still need to respond to the critique of Uhmerican society as being misandrist, and if they admit this fact, provide suggestions as to how men should respond. There are plenty in the manosphere who do not identify as paleo or trad but are Christian, uphold patriarchy and a more traditional model of society (i.e. one that recognizes sex differences and differentiation of roles).

Some have decried the proliferation of blogs and websites with their core or niche readers as promoting close-mindedness or division. However, blogs and internet websites can be a alternate means of education, a necessary corrective to the manufactured opinion or indoctrination by the mass media, MSM and news, public education, Hollywood, academia, and so on. Despite some criticisms, the androsphere is one such source of alternative commentary, though whether it has the potential to mobilize men into something greater than themselves remains to be seen.
The splintering of Americans into different groups of readers and followers, gathered into "virtual" communities dwelling around various websites, is an indication that sharing common beliefs, a common culture, is as important to group identity and the feeling of affinity as other factors (like blood-ties and physical proximity).
Fabius Maximus has this post, At the Tampa Convention Right & Left display our great illness: Tribalism. What he is really attacking is what I would call partisanship, which is similar to tribalism but it isn't quite the same because partisanship looks to membership in a political party for a source of identity. What I would call tribalism either ignores party affiliation or outrightly rejects it as a defining characteristic of the tribe, or people. So long as the group identity is limited to partisanship rooted in the duopoly, I don't see any real possibility for reform. Americans must look beyond political parties, and rediscover the importance of "natural" communities and friendship.

MRAs and the Androsphere
Jack Donovan covers the differences (and overlap) between both: Long Live the Manosphere!
While there continues to be an overlap I will use the label MRM to refer to legal and political issues (e.g. divorce, visitation rights), but I am definitely not in agreement with the MRAs who are egalitarians.
Something from Catholic Land Movement: Community and the Church. Relatively easy to implement if you have some families interested in an agrarian vision of life and who are willing to settle in one place. What to do, though, about those who are trapped (or willing prisoners) in the big cities or suburbia?
