Like her mother, who was on the British Olympian Equestrian team, Zara Phillips is an accomplished athlete. Since footballers get OBEs, I don't see why equestriennes should not!

Of some interest, 2% of all put up for the O.B.E. refuse it. That's something like 300 over the last fifty years or so. Notable men like David Bowie, John Cleese, Kenneth Branagh, and J. G. Ballard all turning the honor down for various reasons.
