Kevin P. Phillips, Numbers Racket

At the Borders in Palo Alto, the June issue of Harpers was already on the newsstand. But I did find the May issue at the Fry's in Sunnyvale. It was a good read, but too short. He did make his point, but I like reading as much Wendell Berry as I can. Perhaps the essay will be reprinted in the next collection of essays, whenever that it is published. I managed to read the second volume in the Lost Fleet series in just a little under 3 hours. Not bad.
