Clark Stooksbury: What Are Pwogs For?

A response to Steven White's lack of interest in Wendell Berry. White claims that Berry doesn't care about economics. This is false. Berry does care about economics; he just doesn't endorse neoliberalism, globalism, favoritism of corporations, and so on. (And arguably, the welfare state and the sort of political economy that makes it possible.) So what sort of progressive is Mr. White? Someone who belives in unlimited growth, and therefore infinite redistribution?

(And really, who cares? There are those who will go down with the system, bickering to the end about the fault belonging to the "other side," and the others who will do what they can to salvage what's left and serving one's kin and neighbors.)
