The progressive historical narrative upon which contemporary, anti-family policies rest is false.

Does he go too far in some of his historical claims? Women may have been leaders but only in sex-specific (monastic communities) or rare (monarchical government) instances. And the fact of female rulers predates Christianity -- it is a flaw of any monarchical system that is inflexible and static.
