Pope Francis will meet 20 Asian young adult "leaders," which includes BoA (and not Kim Yuna?). I think Kim Yuna may get married before BoA, and at an appropriate age, too. BoA (and many of the Korean Catholic female celebs in their 20s and 30s) seem to be following the typical life program for women in industrial capitalist societies. I wouldn't call her a Catholic leader.

Probably meant to be your typical liberal multicult propaganda about making peace with the Other but Kristen Stewart's character getting involved with a Gitmo detainee? Sounds like something that the Androsphere would rightly mock as an example of hypergamy in fiction.

Hesitant about posting this.

Though it is rather unbelievable to some, since he is in a relationship with Kim Yu Na. But maybe she's being a good Catholic girl and waiting for marriage.

Francis: The Man and the Myth

FB Event - tonight at St. Dominic's in San Francisco.

Wednesday, August 6, 7:00 p.m., Church. Who is ‘the real’ St. Francis? Join the St. Dominic’s community for a fascinating evening lecture given by celebrated author, educator and Dominican priest, Fr. Augustine Thompson, O.P. as he shares insights from his remarkable, award-winning new book, Francis of Assisi: A New Biography. With good humor and keen intellect, Fr. Augustine will provide a fresh perspective on Francis, the legendary patron saint of San Francisco. Throughout the evening, you’ll discover both truths and misconceptions about Francis, leaving you with a clearer portrait of the true man behind the legends and popular images.

If I had known about it sooner I would have tried to fit it in my schedule. But I think my copies of the book have been signed already...
