Two law enforcement officials, speaking on condition of because the information had not been announced, said Cho's fingerprints were found on the guns used in both shootings. The serial numbers on the two weapons had been filed off, the officials said.I have not found confirmation yet that he emigrated to the U.S. when he was young. However, if there are restrictions to be made, then perhaps firearms should not be sold to non-citizens. Technically, he is a South Korean citizen and a resident alien, but I do wonder how "Americanized" he was.
One law enforcement official said Cho's backpack contained a receipt for a March purchase of a Glock 9 mm pistol.
It seems like the media, in the way it is identifying the suspect, wants to make it appear that "he is not one of us."

A 23-year-old English major from Centreville was the gunman who killed 32 people and then himself on the Virginia Tech campus yesterday -- the deadliest shooting rampage in modern U.S. history, university and law enforcement officials said.
Cho Seung Hui was a South Korean native who immigrated to this country as a child, officials said. His lifeless body was found in Norris Hall, a classroom building, among those of several other slain students, Virginia state police superintendent Col. Steve Flaherty said. Cho, a senior, had apparently taken his own life. Cho graduated in 2003 from Westfield High School in Fairfax County.
Cho purchased one of the guns he used in the shooting, a 9mm Glock, from Roanoke Firearms, which captured the transaction on a surveillance camera, law enforcement sources said today. The gun was bought in March and authorities found a receipt from the store in Cho's backpack, the sources said.
