Last time I talked with him on the phone, a certain friend complaining about marriage and the amount of attention his child requires. I had been hoping that perhaps the marriage would be an oppotunity for growth and improvement. But character doesn't change? Maybe it's just the habit of complaining that surfaces despite being attached to his daughter. Who couldn't bond to her? Who doesn't experience annoyance or frustration when dealing with infants? But the complaining can be poisonous, even if it is not deeply-rooted.
