I've enjoyed the show so far, and it has been renewed for another season. Most of the time it seems sensible, but the ending of episode 3 was a bit mind boggling.
*spoiler warning*
Why did the sheriff decide to tackle the shooter rather than go for a head-shot? Is his character so dedicated to preserving life? It would seem not, from earlier episodes. So why not do the quicker, safer thing? The shooter was holding a hostage, but she was not so close to him and the shooter was busy shooting at someone under the floor. It turns out that he was successful in mortally wounding that person, so wouldn't it have been better if the sheriff had shot him instead? He might have prevented the death of that person.
