A Conservatism That Supports Statism

and oligarchy is a conservatism not worth having, regardless of how well-intentioned its proponents are, and how real the problems they are trying to address are. It is tantamount to: we recognize oligarchy exist and that we cannot get rid of oligarchy and so we must ask them to provide more money to those subject to them. No, a different solution must be found.

Real conservative politics would mean not pinching pennies over family support measures, but wholeheartedly endorsing, & bragging about, the extent of direct national spending on families.
